**CANAL CO-ORDINATOR**

**SALARY: Grade 8 | SCP 28-34 | £36,648 - £42,403**

**HRS/WEEK: 37 Hours**

**WEEKS/YEAR: 52 WEEKS**

**CONTRACT: Permanent**
- Be responsible for developing and maintaining constructive relationships with all stakeholders on the canal, including community groups, lease-holders, businesses and canal users.
- Be responsible for establishing and delivering a programme of community engagement and activity, seeking funding to facilitate a range of community activities which raise the profile of the canal.
- Work alongside Senior Leadership to deliver the strategic framework for the canal.
- Work with the Council’s Highways Maintenance Team to seek innovative ways of maintaining the canal asset and to facilitate contact between Council maintenance team and stakeholders in relation to maintenance priorities.
- Work alongside officers from across the Council and with external stakeholders to deliver an action plan and management plan for the canal that achieves short, medium & long-term objectives.
