Rochester, United Kingdom Fitzpatrick Woolmer Full time

**About You**

You must have a minimum of 2 years design industry experience and be able to present a portfolio of your work that reveals a comprehensive understanding of the design process.

We know who thrives in our team, if the following sounds like we are describing you then you may just have found your new home.
- Competence - You have high standards and you’re a specialist in your field. Intelligent, not just intellectual, you value practical outcomes over theory.
- Cooperation - You enjoy working with others, recognising that great teams are made up of people whose strengths cover each other’s weaknesses. You help others when they require support and are willing to work on things that aren’t specifically “your job”.
- Honesty - you believe in open and transparent communication, striving to be truthful in your words and actions, even when it's difficult.
- Fun - Whilst you’re focused on delivering results, you also remember to enjoy yourself, your motto being that ‘you only get one life’.
- Pride - You get satisfaction and pleasure from good work, effort, and contributions. You feel a strong sense of belonging to a team that shares this value.
- Creativity - You enjoy working out how to overcome challenges other people just accept as “the way it is”, often taking inspiration from solutions that have been created in other industries.

**About the Role**

Specialising in outdoor interpretation and signage for heritage and cultural sites across the UK, we are looking for a passionate graphic designer to join our creative team in our design-studio in Rochester.

Working primarily in the Adobe Creative suite you will produce engaging designs that bring to life the history, heritage and wildlife of our client’s attractions.

You will produce design visuals to support the manufacturing process, allowing clients to sign off on their products prior to manufacture, as well as chipping in with any product development and marketing initiatives.

Full training will be given in all aspects of the business and you will be encouraged to learn and develop at a pace that suits you.

**Essential Criteria**
- Strong design, drawing and artistic skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work well under pressure whilst possessing great attention to detail.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- The ability to work individually or as part of a team to achieve engaging design solutions.
- The ability to work on briefs from initial conceptual design through to pre-press production.
- Great knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

**Advantageous Criteria**
- The ability to create technical product drawings.
- A working knowledge of AutoCAD or any 3d design software.

**About Us**

We have been delivering high quality signage solutions for over 25 years. With our dedicated team of 16 skilled staff, we have built up a prestigious customer base including Royal customers and the number one conservation trust in the UK, as well as local authorities and landscape architects.

**Our Culture**

You will be working amongst your team mates in the design studio and reporting to our Studio Manager, Stuart. You will have the option to work in our Kent office or hybrid.

We are an open-minded company, welcoming ideas to flexible working, and though we would love to have someone else to add to the tea rota here in Rochester, if you feel you are the ‘right person in the wrong place’ then please get in touch outlining your thoughts
