**About this job**:
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and adaptable individual to join our Corporate Parenting and Permanence team to work therapeutically with adolescents and young adults who are care experienced, with a focus on creatively supporting them to be ready to access education, employment and training opportunities and to sustain them. Sustaining such opportunities is a significant indicator of better outcomes in adulthood for young people who are likely to have had a range of adverse childhood experiences (ACES). The post holder will need to have a passion for young people and strive to give our care leavers maximum support and opportunities in their transition into adulthood by supporting their emotional wellbeing and mental health and to work collaboratively with the Employment, Education and Training Co-ordinator for Care Leavers and the young people’s Social Workers or Leaving Care Advisors.

**Special requirements for this post**:
A comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on successful applicants. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and carries a requirement to have an Enhanced DBS check for both children’s and adults.

**About you**:
You will have direct experience of working therapeutically with young people on a wide range of issues and have a compassionate understanding of their needs where they have experienced trauma; loss or separation. You should have excellent written skills to provide reporting and analysis of data of the work undertaken and to evidence the impact of the work of the therapeutic roles for our young people.
