Civil Enforcement Officer

We are looking for a Civil Enforcement Officer based in Bideford. You will be providing frontline inspection and enforcement functions covering off street (parking) operations.

**Must have the ability and willingness to work on a shift system covering weekends, evenings and bank holidays.**

**Duties will include**:

- Patrol off street parking areas. Enforce parking by serving Penalty Charge Notices where vehicles are parked in contravention of the relevant restrictions.
- Inspect pay and display machines and other associated equipment to ensure they are working, reporting any defects that cannot be rectified.
- Inspect and report all parking area defects including defective traffic signs and road markings.
- Keep detailed daily records of all activities carried out using pocket and electronic notebooks.
- Considerable exeperience of working with the general public on situations of possible conflict or similar background.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Lone working with personal responsibility for completing work.
- Full UK driving license
