Due to retirement, we have an opportunity to join a busy transport office at an established family-owned business based in Penrith.

We are open to all levels of experience as our priority is finding a good fit for the team.

Typical working hours are 7:30 to 5:30 Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day planning of customer collections and deliveries in a profitable, timely and legally compliant manner.
- Managing drivers and dealing with day-to-day issues
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers by providing excellent customer service through good communication and a reliable operation.
- Must be computer literate with the ability to quickly learn and use systems.
- A flexible attitude.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Good communication & organisational skills
- Be able to multi-task and prioritise.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Able to work as part of a team.
- A background or knowledge in road haulage
- An understanding of driver’s hours and tacho rules
- Good Geographical Knowledge of the UK.
