We are recruiting for an Cancer Referral Officer who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

Ensure all appointments are entered correctly onto the Trusts patient information systems.

Provide daily statistics highlighting current waiting times and volume of referrals that are being booked.

Work as part of the wider team to ensure patients are being seen within the recommended Cancer Waiting Times guidance.

Work as part of the referral office team to ensure maximum usage of all outpatient appointment slots.

Call patients to inform them of appointment date and any special requirements for their appointment.

Highlight any capacity concerns with operational service teams.

Ensure all relevant information is recorded accurately on all required Trust systems.

To provide a booking service of new appointments for the cancer referral office.

Escalation to operational service teams on a daily basis, highlighting clinic capacity needs to ensure timely appointments can be offered to patients within 14 days as per Cancer Waiting Times guidance.
