**Dental Administrator - Receptionist**
South Coast Dental is an award winning specialist dental practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and treatments. Our team is committed to creating a welcoming and professional environment for our patients and staff.
We are currently seeking a highly organized and motivated Dental Administrator and Receptionist to join our dynamic team.
The position will be a full time permanent position.
**Hours**: 8-5:00pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
**Salary**: Dependant on experience
**Location**: South Coast Dental Specialists, Merley, Wimborne.
**The role**:Dental Admin Assistant/Receptionist
- Duties:
- Ensuring a comprehensive end to end process for our patients and referring dentists.
- Responsible for monitoring incoming referrals and assigning the referral to the correct Specialist.
- Sending out patient correspondence such as detailed treatment plans using different formats.
- Prioritising keeping our referring dentists up to date with their patient's treatment and progress.
- Reception duties to ensure a positive patient experience from arrival to departure.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve the practice's operations.
**Experience and skills**:
- Treatment coordination experience preferred but not essential.
- The ability to keep calm and work methodically.
- Exceptional listening skills and a calm, empathetic approach to patients.
- Good communication with team members and clinicians to help build rapport.
- A smart appearance and professional attitude.
- An ability to work under pressure in a busy team environment.
- Motivated, friendly, flexible, punctual and organised.
- Dental knowledge an advantage.
- Knowledge of the SOE practice management system would be an advantage.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with patients, staff, and healthcare providers
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Proven experience as a practice administrator or similar role in a medical setting
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire
- Proficient in using practice management software and electronic health records systems
