**JOB TITLE**: Communications & Marketing Lead

**REPORTS TO**: Chief of Staff

**LOCATION**: London - hybrid, in the office 3 days a week

**WORKING HOURS**: Full Time - 40 hrs per week, including weekly evening sessions

**SALARY**: £32,000
**CONTRACT TYPE**: Permanent

**OVERVIEW**

As a Communications and Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication and marketing strategies to promote our 20/20 Levels programmes, services, and brand image. You will oversee various communication channels, including digital platforms, social media, public relations, and traditional marketing avenues. The primary goal is to enhance our brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and support our overall growth objectives.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Strategic Planning**:

- Develop comprehensive communication and marketing strategies aligned with the 20/20 Level’s mission, goals, and target audience.
- Collaborate with the senior management team to integrate communication and marketing efforts into overall organisational planning.
- **Brand Management**:

- Maintain and strengthen 20/20 Leve's brand identity and reputation.
- Develop and enforce branding guidelines across all communication channels to ensure consistency and coherence.
- **Content Creation**:

- Create compelling and impactful content for various communication channels, including social media, website, newsletters, and press releases.
- Coordinate with the Head of Programme and the Head of Talent and Engagement, beneficiaries and stakeholders to gather stories, testimonials, and other content that showcase the impact of our work.
- Utilise content creation platforms (Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro, Canva) for visually appealing and engaging content.
- **Social Media Management**:

- Manage the 20/20 Level’s social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling (using programs like Later), and engagement.
- Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to increase visibility and engagement.
- **Media Relations**:

- Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure press coverage.
- Prepare press releases, media kits, and other materials to disseminate key messages and announcements.
- **Digital Marketing**:

- Develop and implement digital marketing campaigns to promote events, fundraising initiatives, and advocacy efforts.
- Overseeing digital marketing efforts such as social media marketing. This includes analysing metrics and data to optimise campaigns for better results.
- **Team Leadership**:

- Leading and managing a team of freelancers and intern, including assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and evaluating performance. This may also involve hiring and training new team members as needed.
- **Community Engagement**:

- Engage with the community through outreach events, partnerships, and collaborations to expand our reach and impact.
- Represent the 20/20 Levels at conferences, forums, and networking events to raise awareness and build relationships.
- **Evaluation and Reporting**:

- Track and evaluate the performance of communication and marketing activities against established goals and objectives.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and board members, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications, marketing, or related roles, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Demonstrated understanding of social justice issues, particularly related to black youth empowerment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management tools, and analytics software.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively
