Canteen Operative

The role includes:

- Stock taking and product rotation.
- Serving of food and beverages
- Collect monies and operate cash till
- Cleaning of kitchen equipment, worktops, tables, and floors
- Preparing and cooking of food as required
- Assist Canteen Manager with implementation of new processes/procedures including compliance documentation.
- Assist with onsite events such as summer BBQ and staff Christmas dinner.
- Putting away deliveries
- Always comply with company health and safety standards and ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Always comply with food hygiene standards.

**Quality & Food safety**
- The job holder has a responsibility to maintain a culture of awareness of, and commitment to the highest standards of quality & food safety and as such they must lead by example and report any risks / concerns to Technical immediately.
- Previous experience working in a canteen/kitchen.
- Good verbal, written and numerical skills (including handling of cash)
- Well organised
- A team player
- Self-motivated
- Friendly individual with focus on customer service
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
