**Sports Instructor (Activities Department Staff)**

**The Manor & Ashbury Resorts**:

- The Manor & Ashbury Resorts are Sport, Craft and Spa Resorts, located just outside of Okehampton in Devon, UK.
- Be part of our team of 250+ staff. The Resorts currently keep good occupancy all year around and therefore we can offer a stable and reliable working environment.

**Starting Rates of Pay**:

- 18-20 year old's - £8.00 p/h midweek, £8.80 p/h weekends
- 21-22 year old's - £10.25 p/h midweek, £11.27 p/h weekends
- 23+ year old's - £10.50 p/h midweek, £11.55 p/h weekends
- These are starting rates, and we would expect them to be uplifted, once the new recruit has trained in how to run the majority of Activities.

**Accommodation can be provided: -**
- Single en-suite rooms available (communal lounge, kitchen and laundry facilities - £50 per week rent, all bills included).
- Double en-suite rooms available for ‘couples’ (communal lounge, kitchen and laundry facilities - £40 each per week rent, all bills included).
- The staff Block has recently been refurbished and is in good condition.

**Person Specification**:

- We are looking for bright, enthusiastic and sporty people, who are looking for a job which offers a combination of activities/sport related work, and hospitality related work. **A job with great variety**.
- **If you are a sports fan, this could be a perfect role for you**
- Carry out all Activities within the company guidelines i.e. to organise, lead and instruct hotel activities (activities include; Tennis, Badminton, 5-a-side Football, Rounders, Ice Curling, and many more - you name the sport and we are likely to do it).
- Carry out all hotel Routines to the expected level. Routines include jobs such as; washing down the sides of our swimming pools, sweeping courts, general facility upkeep etc.
- Hospitality related duties e.g. Bar Work & Drinks service in our Dining Rooms.
- Ensure at all times that you are courteous and approachable for Guests - high levels of Customer Service are expected at all times from all staff within the Activities and Craft departments.

**Hours**:

- Part-Time also available (weekends/evenings etc).
- Work would need to include regular weekend shifts (whether full or part time) as we are a hotel, and often busier at weekends than midweek (higher hourly rates of pay at weekends).
- Would involve a combination of daytime and evening shifts.
