The National Health Service (NHS) in Devon is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Craftsperson to join our dedicated team. **Responsibilities**:
- Carry out maintenance, repair, and installation tasks related to mechanical systems within NHS facilities.
- Conduct inspections, diagnose faults, and perform necessary repairs on mechanical equipment such as boilers, plumbing systems, and pipe fittings.
- Respond promptly to service requests and ensure that all work is completed efficiently and in accordance with established guidelines and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members and provide technical assistance when required.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including documentation of inspections, repairs, and replacements.
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and keep up-to-date with industry advancements.
**Requirements**:
- Possess a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field. Alternatively, demonstrate extensive experience working in a similar role within the mechanical discipline.
- Proven experience working with mechanical systems, including boilers, plumbing, and pipe fitting.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations related to mechanical maintenance and repair.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Flexibility to work on a rotational basis, including weekends and evenings, as required.
The successful Mechanical Craftsperson can choose a temporary or permanent contract.
As a temp you will be paid £20 per hour via an umbrella (PAYE calculation can be provided) or if you decide to accept a permanent contract you will receive £25,147 per annum.
