Formwork Chargehand

We have an exciting opportunity for a Formwork Joinery Chargehand, looking to advance their career to Site Foreman. Based in Leeds, working alongside an established management team, we are looking for someone who has strong experience of reinforced concrete works, eager to progress to management.

**Key areas of responsibility**:

- Assist the Foreman to forward plan the work and organise site operations in order to meet agreed programme
- Ensuring a safe site is maintained and that work is completed within the contract programme
- Monitor production levels on site
- Health and Safety and safety procedures are in place and adhered to across the site
- Assist to supervise and assessment of site labour and sub-contractors performance and plan future requirements
- Introduce new ideas for improvement
- Good communication at all levels

**Personal Knowledge and Behaviour**
- Previous experience in a Chargehand / Supervisory role within reinforced concrete construction
- Health & Safety legislation
- Commercial awareness
- Temporary works - ability to read and interpret drawings
- Practically minded with a hands-on approach
- A strong, authoritative character able to lead the site team
- Able to plan ahead and prioritise
- Natural Leader with ambition to progress

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Leeds: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Formwork Joinery: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- CSCS (required)
