**ROLE - Design Engineer**
**SALARY - £32,000- £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)**
**TYPE - Permanent**
**LOCATION - Northwest London**
My client provides bespoke structural and electromechanical engineering solutions for manufacture. They are looking for a Design Engineer to join their team in the Northwest London area on a permanent basis.
**The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes**:

- Experienced working in a similar industrial design / development role within a manufacturing environment
- HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering / Engineering Design or similar
- Proficient with using ideally Inventor or SolidWorks software for design
- Knowledge of sheet metal and fabricated metal parts
- Confident knowledge of structural disciplines
- Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets
- Experienced designing products from concept to production
- Able to maintain technical documentation and BOM entry
- Knowledge of different materials such as sheet metal fabrication
- Innovative and passionate about design
- Be technically minded with a head for problem solving
- Able to work well individually as well as part of a team

**The Design Engineer role will involve**:

- Being responsible for the design and development of various products and structures
- Using Inventor and AutoCAD software for design on a day-to-day basis
- Developing ideas from concept to production
- Creating models/prototypes
- Liaising with clients and developing solutions
- Collaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects
- Maintaining technical drawings and documentation
- Providing technical guidance and support
- Supporting product Testing, Verification & Validation
