Our recognised Waste Management client based just outside of Peterborough, is looking for a Landfill Operative who holds a Telehandler licence to join the team, this is a perm opportunity.

**Job Summary**:

- Safely and efficiently operate machinery for the disposal of waste materials.
- Monitor waste levels and coordinate with the team to optimize landfill space.

**Equipment Operation**:

- Operate heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, and compactors to manage waste.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any issues to the supervisor.

**Site Maintenance**:

- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the landfill site.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any faults.

**Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment.
- Participate in safety training sessions and promote a safety-conscious culture.

**Environmental Compliance**:

- Follow environmental guidelines for waste disposal and implement sustainable practices.
- Report any environmental concerns to the appropriate authorities.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in waste management or heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- **MUST **have Telehandler experience.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy machinery.

**Skills**:

- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

**Working Conditions**:

- The role involves outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- May require occasional overtime and weekend work.
- Our recognised Waste Management Client based just outside of Peterborough is looking for a Landfill Operative with Telehandler experience. This is a perm opportunity.

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£29,975.00 per year
