Apprentice Sign Maker

Hours of work - **40 hours per week (9-5)**

Wage **- in line with Apprenticeship Scheme (£4.81 per hour, rising to £5.28 per hour during 2023)**

Signs Express (Aylesbury) has an exciting role for an Apprentice Sign Maker as we look to expand our team.

**The role**

As a Sign Maker Apprentice you will be learning a highly skilled trade - a Sign Maker contributes to the design, manufacture and installation of a variety of signs including interior signs, exterior signs, vehicle graphics, window graphics, shop signage, exhibition displays and digital signage.

Ideally you will be computer literate with the equivalent of GCSEs Grade C/4 or above.

We are looking for a good team player who feels comfortable dealing with clients, providing excellent customer service.

**Professional experience you will learn**
- Fabricating all types of signage - Acrylic, ACM, Illuminated Lettering, Window/ Vehicle Vinyl etc.
- Basic wiring/electrical work for LED illuminated signage.
- Sign Fitting & Installation when necessary - Fitting of various signs internally and externally.
- Using state of the art wide format printers, plotters and laminators.
- Operating CNC Router Machine to cut various materials for signage production.
