**Data Scientist - Hybrid Working**

**Role Responsibilities**

As a Data Scientist, you will drive the data strategy and data platform and and work closely with Engineering to develop and implement models for learning analytics and advanced algorithms, while working with cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities will include:

- Use advanced algorithms and psychometrics to shape the future of education.
- Play an essential role in shaping the long-term vision and strategy to re-invent educational assessment for the 21st century.
- Design, develop and implement production-grade algorithms, models, and services.
- Making sense of large volumes of data to generate actionable insights and reports for customers Structure and solve open-ended problems.
- Perform analyses as well as write production-grade algorithm code.
- Work with state-of-the-art technologies and frameworks: Python, Apache Spark, SQL, Terraform, Databricks, AWS and PyTorch.

**Person Specification**
- You hold a MSc degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a
- related quantitative field.
- You have excellent analytical skills and are comfortable with advanced mathematics.
- Excellent proficiency in python, including familiarity with common developer practices.
- You are familiar with SQL and Apache Spark.
- You have professional experience with cloud services and technology (preferably AWS)
- You are comfortable with structuring and solving open-ended problems.
- Have an eye for clean, testable, maintainable, and performant code.
- You are energetic, have a great sense of humour and attitude, and you are passionate about shaping the future of assessment.
