Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Laboratory Assistant to join our clients busy Research and Development Laboratory in West Lothian. The hours will be 8.45am-5.00pm, Monday-Friday**.**

This position would suit someone who is enthusiastic, eager to learn and has a keen interest in Science.

Previous laboratory experience or Biology or Chemistry at Higher/HNC or equivalent level would be an advantage, however is not essential.

The job involves processing samples to agreed standard operating procedures (SOP’s) within agreed timescales for different types of tests, using a range of sampling techniques. Also, general housekeeping tasks will be required. You will also operate and maintain a wide range of laboratory equipment, including robotics, water dispensers, balances and centrifuges.
