**Purpose of the **Role**

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, Poole for an Operations & Sustainability Assistant.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team to assist the Operations and Centre Manager with all sustainable projects and day to day operational requirements.

Duties will include:

- Assisting the Operations Manager to ensure all H&S and Environmental legislative and the managing agent’s best practice procedures and systems are complied with.
- Organising tenant inspections and assist with fulfilling tenant statutory requirements.
- Assisting Operations and Sustainability Projects
- Accumulating and report information towards site accreditations
- Assisting in the management of empty units and landlord liability
- Overseeing utilities and waste contracts

**Key Responsibilities**

**General**
- Assume the role of Duty Manager when rostered
- To assist management of service contracts and contract management
- Assist in all audit rectifications
- Continue with the operating of systems ISO14001, ESOS and EMS
- Ensure that all insurer’s requirements are complied with
- Implementing sustainability initiatives and certificates
- Assist with Impact Social value projects and monitoring
- Tenant data compliance gathering and overseeing
- To assist duct work cleaning certificates are up to date
- Regular site inspections & contractor audits
- Maintaining utility supplies and recording usage data
- Waste recycling monitoring
- Ensure compliance with the managing agent’s Working Practices Manual where applicable
- Any other duties reasonably requested by the Centre Manager & Operations Manager

**Compliance**
- Assist the Centre Manager in overseeing all aspects of Centre Health & Safety in accordance with the managing agent’s management systems and procedures ensuring the safety of all shoppers, employees, contractors and tenants.
- Ensure the centre complies with the managing agent’s policy on energy procurement and environmental management.
- Ensure that energy levels are managed effectively without compromising the quality of service provided to the centre’s shoppers or retailers.
- Supervise the activities of tenants’ and landlord’s contractors to ensure compliance with Health & Safety and centre rules and regulations.
- With the Operations Manager / Centre Manager, review the work performance of contractors to ensure standards are met, reporting to the managing agent’s Procurement team any failures to provide required standards of performance
- To assist with all other compliance statutory procedures and actions are undertaken.

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Preferably a recognised and certificated H&S qualification but minimum 1 year’s experience in a H&S focused environment.

Effective organisational skills - ability to multi_ _task and prioritise a busy and varied workload

Strong administrative and IT skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with good numeracy skills

Sound customer relations skills, and ability to work and integrate in an already established team

Be pro-active, logical and forward thinking with the ability to work with own initiative

Ability to demonstrate utmost discretion when dealing with all sensitive and confidential information.

Results and achievement orientated to high standards with an appetite for progression

**Working Hours**

37.5 Hours

**Salary**

£25,000 - £30,000
