We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant with great energy, passion and a relentless focus on high standards.

As part of the United Learning Trust, Abbey Hey Academy is a larger than average sized primary school situated in the heart of Gorton, a suburb of East Manchester. The school serves a vibrant and diverse community of learners, with 660 fantastic children from Nursery to Year 6. Our vision is simple: to ensure children receive the best education that is available to enable them to become the very best that they can be. We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant who shares our passion for learning.

We are looking for a teaching assistant who is/has:

- Enthusiastic, dynamic, with a strong understanding of teaching, learning and assessment;
- Tolerant and compassionate nature with a sense of humour and a good degree of flexibility
- Able to work as part of a team
- Grade A-C in Maths and English at GCSE
- Committed to ongoing professional development and engaging in research based teaching methods;
- Innovative and creative in their approach to teaching and learning;
- Committed to putting children’s education at the centre of everything that happens in the school;

- Willing and able to contribute to the wider school community.
