Motor Mechanic

**Job Title**: Motor Mechanic

**Job Type**:Full time (40 hours per week). Part time hours would be considered.

**Work Pattern**:Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm.

**Salary**:£35,000 - £45,000 per annum (pro rata). Salary negotiable dependent on experience.

**About Us**

We are a small, independent garage based in the centre of Cupar and have been operating for over 30 years.

**The Role**

We are looking for a hard-working, motivated and experienced motor mechanic to join our close-knit team. Full driving licence is preferred.

**Duties and Responsibilities include**:

- Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults.
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as brakes, exhausts, suspension systems, timing belts, clutches etc.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles.
- Diagnostic plug-ins.
- All other aspects of mechanical repairs.

**Person Specification**:

- Proven experience as a mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle and equipment systems and components.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Welding experience advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
