Our Client is the UK's biggest end-to-end commercial vehicle fleet management business, managing and maintaining a fleet of 80,000 vehicles across 65 garages.
They are offering an exciting opportunity for an LCV Technician to join the team based at their Wimbledon Workshop on a full-time permanent basis, these are Monday to Friday/Day shifts.
At the Wimbledon Workshop, as an LCV Technician, you will be responsible for conducting vehicle repairs, this will include inspection, maintenance, repair and service of all types of mechanical assets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation.
- Overhaul electrical equipment and components
- Welding and metalworking (if authorised)
- Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment (if authorised)
- Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (when suitably qualified)
- Accurately record time to complete jobs and associated details
- required to substitute Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed
Skills & Experience Required
- Ideally be qualified as an LCV Technician to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance Repair
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work within given timeframes
- Ability to tackle all aspects of vehicle repair and servicing.
- Diagnostics skills are desirable
