An exciting new position for an Operations Business Partner is currently available in our Optimisation department. Responsible for reviewing the performance of the entire port and Yard/Vessel planning, looking for chances for continuous improvement, and routinely reviewing the operational processes are all responsibilities of this position. Making recommendations for and putting into place improved processes in accordance with corporate standards, policies, and procedures. It also involves managing operations projects, including design, development, internal communication, and coordination between various departments and shift workers.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Be aware of all Operational KPI’s and to ensure they are met as per the agreed terminal KPI’s.
- Advise the Planning and Execution teams on areas for improvement based on reviewed statistics and other available information
- Review the actual performance against the strategy and plan from Operations team
- Project manage allocated projects from initial idea to completion and implementation and provide the link across all departments.
- Utilise appropriate tools to manage and track transformations and their impact.
- Ensures that the documentation on operational processes & improvements, within the department, are constantly updated and to assist in developing a Quality Management System in respect of operational processes.
- Ensure that a safe work environment exists, by adhering to Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
- Seek to achieve Company set Targets for Operations, Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability.
- Direct and drive a Performance Management culture within own team, ensuring that the staff meet their targets in line with the business needs;
- Lead, manage and motivate own team in line with HR policies and procedures to ensure they deliver services in line with expectations;

**Competencies & Experience**:
Minimum necessary "A" level education; a degree from a tertiary institution (ideal);
high literacy level
a track record of success in the transportation and/or logistics sector expertise in container terminal operations
The ability to model business processes is desirable.
Strong analytical abilities are required, particularly the capacity to gather, collate, and analyse data.
Encourages and looks for chances for oneself and others to develop, invent, and put innovations into practise that will benefit the business;
Effectively communicates with others to complete tasks
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- A full valid UK driving licence or appropriate international licence allowing you to drive on UK roads
- No unspent criminal convictions
- Able to meet the safety critical medical and fitness requirements of the role which include but are not limited to, weight, height, blood pressure, hearing & certain food allergies
