**Project Worker**

Preston Community Network are looking to recruit a Project Worker

37 HOURS per week - Salary £25,409 per annum (NJC Spinal Point 14)

Funded by the National Lottery through The National Lottery Community Fund 12 month fixed term contract, continuation depending upon funding

As part of an exciting community project in Preston, we are looking for someone with experience of working with 3rd sector organisations. We are looking for an experienced development worker to work alongside the Project Lead to help build 3rd sector capacity and connections in Preston. If you are keen to make a difference to local people by helping others enhance their skills and capacity build within their community organisations, this role could be just what you are looking for.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as main contact for the network.
- Develop and maintain a VCFS Network of member organisations and disseminate relevant information across the network as required including signpost member organisations to other support available.
- Consult with member organisations and co-ordinate formal and informal training for groups and individuals to support organisational development and capacity building e.g. governance, digital skills, financial skills, explore funding options, bid writing, managing contracts.
- Facilitate quarterly networking events for member organisations and support local community events.
- Work with VCFS organisations to understand the priorities and needs of the communities in which they are working and support them to address these needs.
- Create publications and lead on ensuring effective distribution, facilitating profile raising campaigns and liaise with local media to raise the profile of the network.
- Continue the development of a new, modern looking, accessible website for the network, create editorial content and ensure the website is regularly updated.
- Share the positive promotion of the network by use of social media platforms, create editorial content and post regular updates.
- Any other duties to aid the development of the network which may arise.
