This is an **SEMH Teaching Assistant**role in the Tameside area starting ASAP on a full time & long term basis at a secondary Pupil Referral Unit, PRU, for children with Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs, SEMH. Pay up to £85/day.
- SEMH Teaching Assistant at a secondary PRU in the Tameside area.
- Starting ASAP on a full time basis.
- Could turn permanent for the right person.
- Hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm.
- Pay up to £85/day.
- As a new SEMH Teaching Assistant you will need to support pupils in learning to manage their own Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs, SEMH.
- You will be working in groups of no more than 8 pupils at a time.
- You will need to work as a team to manage challenging situations and make progress with your pupils emotionally and academically.
- 1:1 pastoral support will be required as well.
- Pupils respond well to motivation, encouragement & positive reinforcement.

- This is a secondary PRU for children aged 11-16.
- Rated good by Ofsted.
- You will be provided with regular CPD.

To join us and be successful in this **SEMHTeaching Assistant** role, you will need to:

- Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
- Minimum of 2 professional references.
- Provide a CV with a full history from your education until present.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Some experience supporting children or young adults with challenging behaviours.
