**The Institute for Social Justice**
The Institute for Social Justice was launched in 2020 to underpin York St John University’s mission to stand up for social justice'. We do so through developing collaborative research and practice that seeks to identify, expose and address some of the inequalities, injustices and challenges facing society today. At its core the Institute seeks to work with people, with partners and with communities in a manner that sees **participation**, **implementation** and **change** as vital parts of its mission. This post is part of our Community Research Grant programme, which works with voluntary, charity and social enterprise to develop impactful, co-produce research.
**The role**
We are seeking a Graduate Research Assistant to provide research assistance to the Lead Researcher in helping deliver a service evaluation for a male focused mental health charity. The charity run a number of online and offline services which help promote male suicide prevention and help men manage their mental health. Previous experience researching men's mental health would be useful in the role. The Research Assistant will be required to help the Lead Researcher carry out a number of tasks including facilitating face-to-face interviews, helping develop qualitative coding and themes based on the interviews and assisting in the development of a final service evaluation report. Other tasks include helping develop a social media presence for the research project as well as assisting in the organisation of a men’s mental health one-day dissemination event at the conclusion of the project.
