The Placement Team Leader makes a significant contribution to achieving this.

As Placement Team Leader, you will proactively lead and manage the placement operational delivery in the College Registry team and work closely with key stakeholders. You will provide placement advice, information, guidance and professional support services to students and programme teams that demonstrates a gold standard service consistently across the Colleges. You will be a supportive influence internally and an active participant/influencer.

**Principal accountabilities**:

- To provide, manage and develop a team of Placement College Advisors, to drive a high-performance culture, ensuring the team delivers excellent services, in line with the goals set out in the College Business Plan and Registry Enabling Plan.
- The post holder will take responsibility and be accountable for a range of placements on programmes from undergraduate to postgraduate, providing an excellent student experience and assisting in key University operational activities.
- Make a significant contribution to the development and positive promotion of the College Registry Team.
- Ensure an inclusive service with a focus on delivering excellence.
- Identifying and implementing a range of tools and technologies to support the inter site working of the Registry. Leading on the digitalisation projects with relevant stakeholders to deliver a seamless service to students and staff.
- To manage a team of Placement College Advisors including where appropriate, ensuring that students receive appropriate and timely advice, information and guidance on issues relating to their placement and respond to escalated cases and complex issues.
- To maintain a high level of understanding of, and input in to, the university’s policies and procedures for academic standards and quality in order to work with academic colleagues to deliver excellent programme support.
- To be responsible for the high-level management of student record profiles and Placement profiles, ensuring that the College Registry Team process changes and audit records to accurately and support all reporting requirements.
- To work with the Assistant College Registrar on the development and analysis of management information to support University metrics for student retention, progression and achievement.
- To be responsible for the management of key activities across the Placement Team to ensure a consistent approach and compliance with University Regulations & requirements.
- Meet regularly with the College Placement Leads identify potential issues, provide advice on University processes and regulations and take action as required.
- To ensure the production of complex reports/ analysis considering a range of factors and ensuring all required information and business intelligence is clearly reported to relevant stakeholders through appropriate mechanisms.
- To work collaboratively, to ensure cross college standardisation and review of service activities.
- Maintain professional competence through continuous professional development in line with role.
- To provide advice and support to the Assistant College Registrar and deputise as required.

- Educated to degree level standard or equivalent significant work-based experience

**Experience**:

- Experience working with programmes requiring placement activity
- Experience using ARC or equivalent Placement database software
- Experience with adhering to relevant compliance, industry standards, regulations, and educational requirements such as Disclosure and Barring Service and Occupational Health
- Demonstrable experience of managing and developing a team of professional staff
- Experience of working in a in a student facing management role in a Higher Education (HE) environment
- Experience of successful implementation of business processes and systems
- Experience of managing change at a tactical/operational level
- Demonstrable experience of successfully managing competing priorities within a re
