Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance (CMCA) are offering a permanent contract for a new role of PMO Coordinator. This is a full time Band 6 role (£35,392 - £42,618) with the opportunity for hybrid working; at home and/or with days in our offices on the Wirral and/or in Liverpool City Centre.
We are looking for a positive and creative self-starter with the ability to build and develop strong collaborative relationships across the organisation and wider, to provide a comprehensive and robust administrative and governance service for the Cancer Alliance.
The role will report to our PMO Lead to support and enhance an already well established corporate services function.

The PMO Coordinator will provide oversight of Cancer Alliance governance processes and admin functions, including line management and direction of the CMCA admin function.
They will support SMT to ensure all programmes and projects adhere to CMCA PMO governance processes and provide regular advice, direction and training to do this.
The CMCA admin function needs to ensure consistency, standardisation and flexibility and the postholder will be responsible for leading and directing this function.
They will also lead the administration of CMCA’s digital project management system and ensure all programmes and projects are following the right governance and reporting processes through this system and that the admin team drives consistency and accuracy for their respective programmes.
The Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance leads the delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan ambitions for cancer across our local system. The Cancer Alliance provides system oversight and co-ordination for cancer services through collaboration with partners with the aims of improving outcomes for patients and improving performance against key operational standards.
The Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance is one of 21 across England and covers a population of 2.4 million.

The Cancer Alliance is hosted by The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust and the CEO is the Senior Responsible Owner/Executive Lead for Cancer within Cheshire and Merseyside.
**Key responsibilities include**:
Provision of a comprehensive and robust administrative and governance service to support the achievement of corporate objectives and associated programmes and projects
Leading an effective and efficient admin function including line management of the team
Ensuring governance processes are designed, clearly communicated, and understood to maintain a standardised and consistent approach to admin functions, programme, and project management across the organisation
Coordinating all assurance and reporting requirements/structures
Monitoring and tracking programme and project milestones, risks and issues, and development of monthly highlight reports
Support the Head of PMO in providing PMO training and advice and act as PMO gatekeeper in production of project documentation and reports
PMO representative at all programme governance meetings, providing advice, guidance and challenge to ensure adherence to PMO processes
