To provide assistance to the Orthotics technicians in the Orthotics manufacturing Unit at RJAH.

It is a practical role involving basic manufacturing technics, general house keeping and stock management

The role is varied and includes duties as advised below and in the job description but this is not an exclusionve list.
- Housekeeping/cleaning
- work with plaster of Paris casts used in manufacturing of custom devices for patients
- H and S compliance
- Stock control
- Routine orthoses repairs and adjustments
- Moving and handling
- Waste disposal
- Deliveries across the RJAH site
- Despatch processing

1. Evaluate interpret and analyse orders, specification sheets and prescriptions from customers to manufacture Orthoses which meet current MHRSA, European Legislation and Departmental Quality assurance standards.
2. Manufacture, repair and modify a selection of routine Orthoses using appropriate work procedures for all skeletal areas.
3. Prioritise own work case load allocated to ensure lead times for production are adhered to.
