**Alternative Education Tutor/Support Worker and Session Staff**
Taleblazers is a community interest company that seeks to engage young people in storytelling, folklore, natural history and the great outdoors. We operate a small alternative provision and we offer educational sessions to schools, as well as getting involved in community projects. We are currently working close to capacity and we are looking for two members of staff to work with us in a part-time capacity. We are looking for people who buy into our 'Change the Story, Change the World' ethos and who can deliver sessions in any of the following areas:

- Outdoor exploration
- Bushcraft
- Overnight camps
- Arts Award
- School workshops themed around local history and heritage
- 'Healthy Holidays' sessions during the school holidays
- Community projects

The more of the above you are able to deliver, the more sessions we can offer

We also work on local heritage projects and partner with heritage organisations to deliver heritage and history workshops to schools. These sessions do not require experience of working with children with additional needs, though this would still be advantageous, but you need to be comfortable working with whole classes of young people of primary school age.

All staff are expected to contribute some off-session time to reporting, programme development and team meetings.

**Person Specification**

Essential
- Friendly, patient and nurturing approach
- Experience of working with students with SEN/SEMH, particularly those with high levels of anxiety and attachment
- Strong background in at least one of arts, history or outdoor education/forest school
- Good planning skills and willingness to contribute to programme development
- Driving license and access to a vehicle
- Teaching experience, including SEN-specific courses and safeguarding

Desirable
- Teaching qualification (for tutoring element of role only)
- First Aid
- Outdoor education qualifications - eg Lowland Leader, Forest School Leader
- Flexibility
- Commitment to continuous professional development

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract, Freelance

**Salary**: £20.00 per hour
