The Domiciliary Phlebotomy Service in East Lancashire provides routine blood sampling for patients who cannot attend their GP Practice or Health Centre as they are housebound.
The Service has six phlebotomists in total who work independently, with the support of the District Nursing Service.
A rare opportunity has arisen in the Hyndburn locality for an individual who is skilled in taking blood samples to work across the area.
To work as a member of Community Services, collecting routine blood samples from housebound patients throughout the Burnley Locality
The post holder will be competent in taking blood samples and will adhere to local policies and protocols related to the role
The post holder will be able to work independently and organise their own workload to ensure that blood samples are taken at the correct time
It is essential to have a car available for work at all times with insurance for business use
