**Job Description: Electrical Fitter**

We are recruiting for an Electrical Fitter in the Plymouth are,
- **Pay rate**:_ £32,000 - £35,000 (Including Average OT)
- **Shifts**:_ 0800-1730 Mon-Thur and 0800-1200 Fridays. (Lots of overtime available, paid at time and a half.)

To be suitable for this role the person would need to be a time served or have equivalent experience in Automation equipment.
- Basic Requirements_
- To have a good understanding of electrical drawings / symbols and to be able to read and recognise if something is designed wrong. (everything we do is a customer one off so there are occasion were mistakes are made)
- A general know of pneumatics
- Ability to plan and think for themselves on cable / pneumatic pipe routing to make the machine function but also look aesthetically pleasing.
- General fault finding skills on completed installations.
- Further Requirements_

1. Understand company/customer issued electrical circuits/drawings.

2. Control panel build in line with the company or customers standard.

3. Install a wide selection of electrical equipment such as motors, motor starters, contactors, relays, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and Safety PLC's.

4. Install and have a good understanding of all types of commonly used wiring and wiring accessories.

5. Integrate pneumatics in line with issued circuits.

6. Have a good understanding of the following

**a.**Workshop practice,

**b.**Electrical wiring symbols, engineering drawings and layout drawings for electrical and pneumatic systems.

**c.**Procedures for inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.

**d.** Industrial hazards, health and safety precautions and environmental concerns.

**e.** Installation practice and regulations, and relevant codes of practice.

7. Able to work on their own and within a team.

8. To be focused on the job with a view to complete the job as efficiently as possible.

9. Ability to fault find on electrical and pneumatic installations and equipment.

10. Diligently mark-up circuits as required (attention to detail is paramount)

11. Inspect, test and commission electrical installation and equipment.

12. Correctly instruct, supervise and transfer skills to any apprentice and semi-skilled worker assigned and to ensure safety and quality of work.

13. Availability to travel to include overseas site installations as required (usually no longer than 2 weeks)

14. Adhere to the company's SSO (Safe System of Work) at all times.

15. Act as a company representative and first point of contact whilst on-site, maintaining the customer relationship and keeping the Project Manager informed of any issues and work plan progress.

16. To liaise with the Electrical Foreman/Project Manager regarding any issues that may impact the time frame.
