**WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR**:
We are looking for a part time kitchen assistant that shares our company vision and mission and is as passionate about food as we are. We strongly believe in working closely as a team. Applicants must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, and possibly to start early mornings if needed. Your attributes will need to consist of having certain levels of self-motivation, confidence, creativity and reliability as well as the ability to use initiative and work independently when required. Teamwork and a passion for great customer service is a must.

**THE ROLE**:
Reporting to management, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Assisting the Chef with the preparation of meal ingredients, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping produce such as fruit, vegetables, meat etc.
- Thoroughly cleaning and sanitising all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene.
- Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
- Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors.
- Assisting with the unloading of delivered food supplies.
- Organizing and correctly storing food supplies.
- Promptly transferring meal ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen as per the Chefs instructions.
- Following recipe guidelines accurately and producing food at the required company standards.
- Ensuring all food preparation is in date and organised for quality assurance.
- Ensuring cooking stations are stocked throughout the course of breakfast and lunch services.
- Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times, adhering to Food, Health & Safety regulations
- Working with the team to create memorable customer experiences

**Requirements**:

- Good communications skills
- Working in a similar industry such as food service, catering or hospitality
- Previous food handling experience
- High levels of personal hygiene and appearance

**Shift Availability**:

- 20-30 hours a week.
