Our client, a financial services provider, have an exciting opportunity for an analytical professional to join their change team as a Data Analyst. In this role you will own the integrity of reporting and interpretation of data across the business, to enabledeliveryof key management information consistent with the needs of the business and all legal and regulatory requirements.

Duties of the Data Analyst will include:

- Responsible for translating business and regulatory information requirements into SQL/DAX queries to derive commercially relevant insights
- Responsible for designing report layouts, and play a leading role in the deployment and maintenance of such reports
- Lead and participate in data related projects working both alone and as part of a team.
- Lead the liaison with end usersacross the organisation to ensure reporting and MI is fit for purpose.
- Responsible for analysis of databases/datasetsto produce queries and dashboards to translate high level business requirements into functional specifications
- Responsible for creating and improving, including data integrity, a mix of regular monthly reporting and ad-hoc reporting requests from the business.
- Influenceteams to act on insights or findings by presenting data in a way to engage teams and key decision makers.

The successful individual will possess:

- Experience of data and problem solving within an operational environment.
- Strong skills in data visualisation and experience with multiple BI tools such as Power BI, Excel, Snowflake
- Experience in delivering and improving MI for internal and external use to improve how a business consumes data
- Experience of working in a regulated environment preferably in financial services
- Experience of presenting complex information in a readable format using a variety of tools

Whilst our client is based in Greater Manchester, they can offer a hybrid approach to the working week with 3 days in the office and 2 working remotely. However during your training and probationary period you will be required to attend the office.
