Do you have Purchasing experience, and are you looking for a new contract opportunity in Gaydon? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative company recruit a Senior Regional Delivery Buyer to manage the external supply chain for a OEM, and the hybrid role comes with an umbrella contract rate of £38.20 per hour (inside IR35).

Reporting to the Regional Purchasing Manager, you will support the Global Commodity Leaders and Global Strategic Buyers in the development and execution of commodity strategies and the Global sourcing activity through the Global Sourcing Process. You'll monitor the external supply chain performance and communicate to the relevant stakeholders as appropriate CCDS.

During your first few weeks and months in this Purchasing role, you can expect to begin work on some of the following:

- Manage all new Model Programme introduction of designated commodity/system, including contracted supplier obligations, production readiness and resolution of any commercial and programme issues/risks
- Ensure effective cost management of designated commodities and suppliers post-SCPA, which will involve launching commodities on new products at their target cost as well as achieving year-on-year cost reduction on current spending to deliver NCR to target
- Investigate and ensure resolution of in-contract commercial issues, including unverified invoices relating to price queries, annual cost reduction, tooling costs, design changes and all liability claims, to minimise the costs
- Manage Supplier, and Supply Chain Risk, management for assigned commodities post SCPA, ensuring the supply chain operates in accordance with company, customer, and governmental regulations

To succeed in this flexible role, you should be degree-qualified or have equivalent experience delivering complex supply chain solutions in a busy manufacturing environment. You will also need:

- Experience implementing and delivering purchasing strategies focusing on total value chain delivery
- The ability to work independently
- Demonstrate tenacity and perseverance with the capability to deliver operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment
- Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders to influence cross-functional engagement
