Quality Product Specialist

**Requirement Overview**
Working predominantly within the European sectors of the business and specifically with Emtelle Duct, Microduct accessories to broaden our range of solutions; the role involves working closely with Sales personnel, Customers, technical personnel and all other depts. within Emtelle, and covers a variety of functions.
Main functions are to provide product management, formation of product solutions, technical field support, and assist the business with the development and introduction of new products.
**Role and Responsibilities**
1. Liaise with customers to ensure their needs are understood by the business and fed back to the solutions team.
2. Product design and development in conjunction with customers, suppliers and sales personnel.
3. Work closely with internal personnel and responsible for the integration of materials, methods, and tools necessary to introduce new products into the company product portfolio.
4. Establish test procedures for quality assurance of finished product to ensure products meet customer and industry standards.
5. Ensure that new and existing products are tested to the required standards and in line with technical solutions specifications.
6. Keep records of inspection and test findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.
7. Establish and maintain customer relationships, and assisting them to resolve their product challenges.
8. Technical advice point of contact for customers and major stakeholders.
9. Preparation of customer facing literature
10. Be prepared to work irregular hours and at short notice, work away from home (including overseas) as required for periods and be willing to work overtime when required in order to achieve the desired results.
**Skills**
1. Excellent written and oral communication skills; must have the ability to work with and communicate effectively with all stakeholders and project a professional image at all times.
2. A structured approach to technical problem solving based on the utilisation of data.
3. Attention to detail when carrying out their duties.
4. Ability to accurately follow written instructions and drawings.
5. Effectively manage a simultaneous range of diverse activities.
6. Computer literacy in MS Office Products.
**Experience**
**Essential**:
1. Strong and demonstrable technical experience in plastics extrusion and optical fibre cables and types including infrastructure, enclosures, splicing and testing methodologies.
2. Product testing methods & quality assurance experience.
3. Relevant experience in an engineering/project handling role.
**Desirable**:
1. Demonstrable experience in Fibre Optics, Telecoms or a related field.
2. Experience working in a group environment and with a range of diverse cultures.
3. Previous experience auditing processes and procedures.
**Qualifications**:
**Essential**:
1. HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Product, Polymer, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent experience in a related technical field.
2. Full UK driving licence.
**Desirable**:
1. Quality/Product testing qualification.
2. Internal ISO management system auditor
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
