**How you'll make a difference**:

- As a Licensing Assistant you will aid Licensing Officers in the delivery of advice, support, and enforcement work in the Place Department working through problems and developing cohesion in communities.**What will you be doing?**
- On a day-to-day basis you will assist the Licensing Officers in the delivery of advice, support, and enforcement services in relation to the eight licensing functions discharged by the team such as premises licence transfers - Insolvency Register and Companies House checks, NR3S driver applicant checks, and following up accident report forms by inspecting licensed vehicles for public safety.
- This is a varied role where you will be administrating and reporting personal, and sometimes sensitive information, you will also be required to input this data precisely and accurately.

**What we need from you**:

- You will have relevant experience of licensing administration backed by evidence of appropriate knowledge of licensing related issues.
- It is essential you have evidence of regulatory service knowledge including problem-solving methodology and relevant practical experience.
- You will have well developed interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and engage successfully with fellow team members, service users, locally elected members, and partner organisations.
- Ideally you will be familiar with complex databases and systems and working towards or be part qualified in a related licensing qualification or accreditation.
