**We are seeking a hands on Transport / logistics supervisor who wants a career with a growing business offering fantastic career progression.**

**You will be working over a few sites being hand on's managing the warehouse and runs of products.**
- **Duties will include**_
- Promote lead generation to all RSM’s and Staff Experts to ensure follow up leads with potential customers are received at the branch.
- Manage the up-selling of products by RSM’s and staff.
- Motivate RSM’s and staff to enable them to achieve monthly sales and distribution goals
- To execute the annual/monthly/daily operating plans and budgets.
- To achieve the quality/quantity targets in the annual budget.
- To achieve the quality of service dictated by our customer.
- Maximize profitability and control costs within the department.
- To motivate, train and develop distribution personnel monitoring their performance and career development. This will include daily feedback, annual performance appraisals and disciplinary procedures.
- To ensure systems and administration procedures are developed and executed accurately and on time.
- Ensure the distribution department and facilities are kept safe, clean and secure at all times.
- To ensure the company’s policy and procedures are adhered to.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
- To communicate and achieve daily targets.
- To ensure 98-100% route efficiency with good ‘route harmonising’.
- Minimize failures to agreed levels and ensure 100% of failures are recovered next day.
- Liaise with Customer Service department to ensure 100% satisfaction.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time.
- Utilise relevant key performance indicators.
- To update your Line Manager daily of department achievements /needs and complete all reports accurately and on time.
- Assist in the warehouse with accepting deliveries, loading of trucks, vehicle movement and stock control.
- Ensure that correct uniform is worn by all distribution personnel & standards maintained.
- To organize department holidays to the extent that there is no negative impact on manpower availability.
- Ensure all absences and sickness are monitored, reported and actions taken where appropriate.
- To motivate branch employees and ensure adequate training is provided.
- Action disciplinary procedures as required.
- Participate in training, provide daily feedback and promote teamwork.
- Conduct annual performance appraisals, 3 month probationary reviews and provide daily feedback to employees.
- Ensure all vehicles and records are maintained according to department of transport and company standards.
- Ensure the highest standard of hygiene cleanliness is maintained throughout the department.
- Develop ideas for the smooth running of the Branch.
- Ensure safe conditions at all times in accordance with the company’s Health & Safety requirements.
- Ensure all checks on vehicles are carried out as per the Ministry of Transport requirements.
- Implement Company security policy/procedures at all times. (If a Branch ‘Key Holder’ ensure premises are secure before you leave your shift).

In addition to these functions, you may be required to carry out other duties as may be reasonably required.

**Requirements of Role**

FLT Licence (ideal but training can be provided)

Transport/Fleet Management/Warehouse/Health & Safety experience

The role is Monday - Friday 10.00 - 18.00 £28,000 PA

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £28,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus scheme
- Commission pay
- Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Blantyre, South Lanarkshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
