**Photonics Researcher for Holographic Modulators**

We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our technical team as a Photonics Researcher for Holographic Modulators.

**Job Purpose**:
As a Photonics Researcher, you will be part of a highly skilled and diverse team responsible for developing our next generation of LCOS/SLM-based Holographic Modulators. You will engage in cutting-edge research, developing novel optimization and calibration techniques, and contributing to both theoretical and experimental advancements in our device designs. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in displays and photonics, coupled with a complementary skill set in hardware and software, ready to thrive in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Conduct research and development on Envisics Holographic Modulators using LCOS/SLM technology.
Develop and implement calibration and optimization techniques for Holographic Modulators in our labs.
Support the packaging and qualification of new Holographic Modulator devices.
Collaborate with key suppliers on the development of silicon and assembly processes for final devices.
Contribute to device and system-level concepts and create new intellectual property.
Participate in the broader design of our Holographic Augmented Reality HUD development.

**Qualifications**:
Education: MSc/PhD in Photonics, Physics, Optoelectronics, or equivalent fields, including image/signal processing and display systems.

**Specialized Knowledge**:
**Must Have**:
Knowledge of projection systems and various projection technologies.
Experience with Liquid Crystal-based TFT LCD or LCOS display devices.
Understanding of optics and image acquisition in camera systems.

**Good to Have**:
Experience with surface measurements and optical metrology.
Understanding of semiconductor laser diodes and their characteristics.
Theoretical and practical knowledge of digital holography for 2D/3D projections.
Understanding of electromagnetic wave propagation and phase/wavefront measurement techniques.
Knowledge of custom silicon design and fabrication.

**Skills**:
**Must Have**:
Experience designing and conducting experiments in optical labs.
Proficiency in MATLAB/Python for simulations and prototyping.
Practical experience working with lasers in optical labs.
Ability to document processes and workflows for others, such as lab technicians or software developers.

**Good to Have**:
Experience assembling electronic devices.
Experience working in interdisciplinary teams.

**Abilities**:
Proficiency in English.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

**Personal Characteristics**:
High sense of responsibility for the quality of work.
Strong organizational skills, essential for a startup environment.

**Experience**:
At least 1 year of experience working in an optical laboratory or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in a related photonics or display R&D environment.
