Lancashire County Council is proud of the progress we are making in the quality services we provide to the children, young people and families we work with. One of our key priorities is improving outcomes for children or young people who have special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) to ensure that their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are high quality and aspirational. A vacancy has arisen as an EHCP Auditor, based within the Children's Audit Team in Children’s Services.

As the EHCP Auditor you will have a pivotal role in co-ordinating the EHCP Quality Framework and audit programme using findings from audits to drive improvement in order to achieve even more positive outcomes for children and young people. Importantly, you will also identify and share good practice while highlighting areas for development.

You will contribute to and develop actions plans based upon the outcome of the audits and as such you will have good written and verbal communication skills. The role requires the ability to develop learning conversations with practitioners and managers about the quality of practice, being able to clearly articulate what good practice looks like and how individuals and teams may consistently achieve this in their work. The role will also involve engaging young people and their families within your work.

The role will also involve delivering training in relation to high-quality auditing and quality assurance practice. As part of the role, you may also be involved with other stakeholders such as children or parent groups.

You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and must be insured for business use. However, we may consider you if you cannot drive because of a disability.

In return Lancashire County Council offers a range of benefits, which can be found on LCC Vacancies website.
