Alexander Steele is working in partnership with a fast-growing family run business based in Merseyside. The company suppliers Commodity Ingredients to a number of Key market sectors within the FMCG Industry, including Baker, Beverage & Confectionery.
Sales Ledger Clerk - up to £22k per annum - Liverpool Area
The company are looking for a Sales Ledger Clerk to join their team and work closely with the Finance Manager in the day to day running of the department.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Setting up new customer accounts, following credit check process
- Notifying daily sales invoices through invoice finance
- Dealing with various customer queries
- Resolving billing queries in a efficient and timely manner
- Credit control maintenance, to ensure payments are received on time
- Work closely with the Finance Manager when required to minimise the occurrence of problem debts
- Organising any refunds or adjustments
- Process and send monthly customer statements
- Daily reconciliation of Trust bank accounts
- Liaise with other colleagues to ensure any anomalies are investigated and resolved
- Other duties appropriate to the role
Essential Skills & Abilities:
- Good communicator with a positive 'can do’ approach to the job
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to understand new tasks
- Have a practical and methodical approach to tasks
- Able to work both on own initiative and as part of a team
- Good numeracy skills
Preferred:
- Knowledge of working with Invoice financing
