Plant Fitter

**The Role**

The Plant Fitter will join our growing Plant maintenance team in a full time role.

We are looking for an individual to join our team on major UK construction projects as a site-based Plant Fitter starting on projects in Scotland, Reporting directly to the Service Manager - you will be responsible for the maintenance of Plant Fleet across the UK. Primary responsibility would be crushing and screening plant but will be expected to maintain and repair any plant on the company’s sites.

In this key role, you’ll ensure that the company’s Equipment is serviced, maintained and tested to a high standard - to maximise availability and avoid any unnecessary downtime.

**What we are looking for**

Essential:

- Served Apprenticeship, NVQ2 or 3
- 5 years post apprenticeship experience gained from working in a similar role - Crushing and screening, Jaw and cone crushers as well as double and triple deck screens and mobile plant.
- Competencies: Fitting, engines, transmissions, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical repairs, troubleshooting, fabrication
- Ability to be flexible with regards to working hours (to fit in with the needs of the business).
- Must be willing to work overtime, travel and do site sleep outs.
- Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

- Preferable but not essential would be dealership experience. (Metso, Powerscreen, McCloskey, Cat, Volvo, Komatsu, Hitachi, Doosan etc)
