**Building Surveyor**

**Responsibilities**:

- **Scheme Design and Costing**:

- Prepare detailed scheme designs from feasibility through to project completion.
- Develop accurate cost estimates for proposed projects.
- Specify works and organize documents for tender or quotation processes.
- Advise on the appointment of contractors, designers, and procurement routes.
- Utilize AutoCAD to create and modify designs and drawings as needed.
- **Technical Support and Maintenance Supervision**:

- Provide technical support to Facilities Officers for the maintenance of buildings.
- Assess the condition of existing buildings and identify defects.
- Analyze defects and propose appropriate repair solutions.
- Supervise maintenance activities to ensure quality and compliance with standards.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in project coordination, scheme design, and maintenance supervision preferred.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing designs and drawings.
- **Knowledge**: Understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
- **Communication**: Excellent communication skills for advising on procurement and liaising with contractors and stakeholders.
- **Problem-Solving**: Ability to analyze building defects and propose effective repair solutions.
- **Organization**: Strong organizational skills for managing project documentation and tender processes.
- **Teamwork**: Capable of collaborating with Facilities Officers and external contractors to achieve project goals.
- **Attention to Detail**: Meticulous in preparing detailed scheme designs and cost estimates.

**Working Conditions**:

- **Location**: Office-based with occasional site visits as required.
- **Schedule**: Full-time position, standard office hours with flexibility required for project deadlines and site visits.
- **Travel**: Occasional travel to project sites within the designated area.
