Main Purpose of the Job

Manage and be responsible for significant resources Provide a high quality grounds maintenance service and achieve the service's objectives by using the allocated resources in the best possible way.

Work without much supervision and be responsible for directing the work of trainees and other employees assigned to them.

Responsible for staff/equipment mowing the pasture, trimming hedges and maintaining sports areas, in accordance with the approved specification. Departmental Safety, any specific safety systems at work, and in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. Environmental Supervisor - Lands
- Undertake the general maintenance of specified areas, eg Making sure that work is always done in accordance with the Health Policy and Accountable to

Cleaning eg public buildings such as changing rooms and toilets,

Carry out a visual inspection of playground equipment in a park and keep a record

Undertake basic work to install and mark sports areas and maintain artificial/synthetic/natural fields. Undertake activities using craft skills eg interpreting plans, preparing sites and building.

Ensure that all equipment and machinery used is suitable for being on the roads and in good condition and that all safety guards are installed if applicable.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: £12.18 per hour

Expected hours: 43 per week
