**Job Purpose**

Home to the world’s largest collection of historic British cars, the British Motor Museum is an Educational Charity that incorporates a class-leading conference and events facility accommodating up to 1,400 delegates. This exciting and unique venue offers an exceptional opportunity, working in a small and dynamic marketing team you will support and assist with the implementation and evaluation of marketing activity across all areas of the business.

**Main Duties**
- Sourcing, negotiating and booking adverts across the marketing mix.
- Working with our design agency to produce marketing collateral, including writing briefs, creating tracking links and selecting relevant imagery.
- Writing and editing engaging copy for the British Motor Museum website, social media and printed material.
- Collaborating with other departments to produce effective content.
- Working to produce regular newsletters, including the Members Newsletter and a Community Newsletter.
- Add and update British Motor Museum listings and images to relevant third-party online listings.
- Assist in keeping the British Motor Museum website and social media content up to date.
- Maintain online photographic library and edit and resize images for use online.
- Monitor and benchmark competitors to suggest ideas and improvements to our marketing content.
- Assist with the content and building of e-marketing communications to attract new audiences and drive data capture.
- Assist in the development of customer databases, and ensure they are regularly cleaned and updated.
- Regularly review data, including online bookings, visitor numbers, Google analytics etc. to influence and develop future marketing activity both on and offline.
- Benchmark competitor communications and develop understanding of target audiences to inform future improvements.
- Assist with the design, production and circulation of marketing material.
- Assist and support any British Motor Museum presence at shows and exhibitions as required and act as a representative for the organisation at such events (this will require some weekend work).
- Take responsibility for your own health, safety and welfare, ensuring compliance with Trust Health and Safety policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
- Be responsible for your own behaviour and act in a manner that avoids and discourages any form of discrimination or harassment; to comply with the Trust’s Equal Opportunities Policy.
- Undertake to familiarise yourself with the data protection procedures set down by the Company as a result of the General Data Protection Regulation.
- Actively and positively contribute to the success of the business in delivering your duties and any other business-related activities which may reasonably be requested.

**Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Attributes**
- Excellent communication and copy writing skills, with strong attention to detail, good grammar and the ability to proofread effectively.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate successfully with other departments.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with an ability to balance a multifaceted workload effectively and to tight deadlines.
- An interest in both the tourism industry and marketing’s latest trends and practices, along with a keenness to learn new skills to remain up to date with the fast-moving world of marketing.
- A creative eye and an aptitude for design.
- Confident and competent IT skills, including the use of MS Word and Excel.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, InDesign & Premier Pro.
- Desirable_
- An interest in cars and the motor industry is beneficial but not essential.
