Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a key role in assisting with the production and preparation of baked goods. Your attention to detail and knowledge of culinary techniques will contribute to the creation of delicious and visually appealing bakery items.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the preparation and production of bakery items,
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Operate kitchen equipment such as hotplates, mixers, and hoppers.
- Monitor baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
**Skills**:
- Previous experience in a bakery or culinary environment is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and measure ingredients precisely
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices but not essential.
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: £10.42-£11.50 per hour
Expected hours: 4 - 20 per week
