**BUSINESS APPRENTICE**

**Main Purpose**: To provide administrative support to the Finance/Payroll Team

**Responsible to**: Business Director

**Salary**:Apprentice rate for the first year, National Minimum Wage thereafter.

**Hours**: 35 hours per week

**BUSINESS APPRENTICE MAIN DUTIES**
- Type letters, reports and other documents as required using a variety of Microsoft packages
- Maintain records and files.
- Build and maintain positive relationships within the organisation.
- Undertake daily general housekeeping of the building ensuring office areas are uncluttered and the building is maintained to a high standard.
- To assist with general finance tasks as and when required.
- Work as a member of the Finance/Payroll Team. Contribute positively and actively to the work of the team and attend supervision meetings on a regular basis.
- To attend relevant training in order to learn and improve professional skills which are relevant to the post.
- To provide office support.

**Training & Development**
- Structured Induction comprising of Dignity and Safeguarding training, Level 2/3 Business qualification.

**Health & Safety**
- To be aware and adhere to the responsibilities of employees under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

**General**
- To contribute and uphold West House’s values, qualities and standards.
- To ensure one’s own professional development within the organisation.
- To present a professional image in terms of dress and conduct.
- To promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation
- To attend relevant training in order to learn and improve professional skills which are relevant to the post.
- To attend supervision meetings on a regular basis and participate in annual performance review.
- To always act in a professional manner in accordance with West House policies and procedures.
- To be aware of the responsibilities of employees under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
- To adhere To West House Confidentiality Policy.

**Any other duties as may reasonably be required.**

**This may include transfer to another location.**

**Salary**: £9,636.00-£19,016.00 per year
