**About the role**:
The overall requirement of an Educational Health Care Plan Co-ordinator is to work with the Head of Learning Support to ensure the effective delivery of provision for students with Education, Health and Care plans in accordance to the SEN Code of Practice and the specific processes of Local Authorities. The duties of the job will require you to work and travel across all three campuses.

**About you**:

- Have two A ‘levels or equivalent level 3, GCSE English and GCSE maths.
- Have substantial knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
- Have substantial knowledge of Preparing for Adulthood
- Have substantial experience of working with learners with additional support, needs and disabilities including parents/carers, curriculum staff and referral agencies
- Understand the range of special educational needs at the College
- Have substantial knowledge and experience of Education, Health Care Plan and annual reviews
- Have knowledge of the barriers experienced by learners with disabilities and additional support needs and how this can impact on accessing learning and achieving educational goals.

An endorsed teaching qualification
Level 2 qualification (GCSE A-C or equivalent) in English and Maths
A Level 2 qualification in supporting learning or learners with Learning Difficulties or Disabilities (LDD), or a Level 2 certificate in supporting learners with Specific Learning Difficulties, or sufficient workplace experience
Experience of conducting consultations
Knowledge of the EHCP process.
Experience of managing or co-ordinating SEN support in an educational setting
Substantial experience of working with learners with additional support needs and disabilities including parents/carers, curriculum staff and referral agencies.
Substantial experience of delivering support to students in and out of class, including study skills support.
Experience of working in a Further Education setting
Experience of managing good administration and record keeping systems in order to comply with internal and external audits
Experience of giving IAG, conducting health and educational risk assessments and developing and implementing support and care plans
Demonstrable interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of people
Flexible approach to working practices
Ability to provide excellent standards of customer service at all times
Ability to organise and coordinate cross organisation and multi-agency support arrangements for students
Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
Knowledge of the barriers experienced by learners with disabilities and additional support needs and how this can impact on accessing learning and achieving educational goals
Knowledge of and a demonstrable commitment to Equality and Diversity, Child Protection, Safeguarding and Prevent, showing a desire to challenge inequality and promote diversity and adhere to College Policies and Procedures.
Knowledge of current legislation related to social, health and disability practices with regard to providing holistic support to learners in an educational setting
Proven IT skills including the effective use of Windows, Spreadsheets, Databases and other related packages
