A large market leading company based in Didcot are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their sizeable finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with some finance/accountancy experience looking to progress and learn. The company offer hybrid working and excellent benefits as well as a fantastic work culture.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process all transactions that appear on the bank statement on a daily basis ensuring accurate postings in order to minimise unallocated transactions,
- Bank statement downloads for old legacy systems
- Enter details into SAP/Vista using various functions,
- Investigating and prompt clearance of any non-reconciled transactions,
- Generate manual payment requests using the various banking platforms trading that are currently in place (i.e. Barclays.net & Citibank but not limited to)
- Taking Credit Card transactions using Secure Trading or PDQ Machines as well as processing the necessary refunds as required,
- Recording and processing of all Direct Debits and Standing Orders on a daily basis,
- Secure trading payments matching - reconciliation of credit card payments and invoices,
- Mail order - identify electronic mail order payments from bank records. Process payments and
- adjustments on to the mail order accounts as necessary.
- Processing all Foreign payment uploads into the necessary banking platform on a weekly basis from files that are currently prepared by the Accounts Payable team,
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations,
- Provide accurate management reporting to the required deadlines.
- Maintaining and creating templates for all regular manual payments in the necessary banking platforms,
- Maintaining high level of communication with Credit Services, Customer Service, Client Publishers, stakeholders in general
- Offer excellent customer service attitude to all stakeholders
- Preparing and recording all refund requests,

Person Requirements:

- Some experience within an accounts/finance related role
- Working knowledge of SAP is preferable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel.
