Estimator required for an industry-leading company delivering top-quality Renewable, Mechanical, and Electrical projects for a wide range of industries. This is a great opportunity to join a company that can offer long-term career stability within a friendly working environment.

The Company works nationwide from its Head Office in Poulton Le Fylde. Travel may be required within the role with site attendance and management.

**Main Responsibilities & Duties**

Primarily responsible for the coordination and assistance in the successful completion of the estimating of projects to meet client delivery periods.
- To ensure wastage of any kind where avoidable is kept to a minimum
- Register and maintain the tender registration database.
- Competent when dealing with inquiries and requests.
- Complete tender schedule and assist with the planning and prioritisation of work
- Printing relevant drawings & specifications.
- Produce take-offs from drawings.
- Review all documents to extract the necessary information to assemble an accurate estimate and discuss this information with the estimator in charge of the estimate.
- Organise and track the market price of material/ specialist costs.
- Obtain competitive and accurate quotations from the supply chain & where possible, value engineering quotations.
- Responsible for the submission of PPQs.
- Communicating effectively with other members of the office
- Maintain a systematic approach and work method to assure an estimate that will be well organized and easy to review
- Ability to read layout drawings to enable pricing to be complete
- Become competent with design and build tenders.
- Support the Estimating team to produce competitive tender submissions.
- Support the preparation and submission of estimates in line with company guidelines
- Input data into the Estimation software package and learn how to price projects
- Provide quality service to all clients
- Provide support in compiling tender return packs
- Complete the Risk Register
- Complete the RFI Register and Schedule, issuing RFI’s to Clients as appropriate
- Produce the Procurement / Long-Lead Schedule
- Complete the Plan for Profit form, ensuring that net costs and sell costs clearly identify the correct margins
- Prepare handover documentation for successful projects and attend internal pre-start meetings.

**General**:

- Attend training sessions arranged by the companyEstimating software packages

Financial Acumen
- Always be mindful that you are a representative of the company and ensure that you provide the best possible services to the client
- Ensure that all activities that are undertaken are carried out in a manner that conforms with company standards as set out in the quality manual

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 45 per week

**Salary**: From £17,500.00 per year
