**The vacancy**
**What we’re looking for**:
- Do you have a background working with vulnerable adults or rough sleepers?- Could you promote and support these vulnerable adults or rough sleepers to live independently and develop life skills?- Do you have either lived or professional experience of managing complex needs, which include homelessness, mental health?- Have you had experience of working with vulnerable adults or rough sleepers who have challenging behaviour or conflict where you have been able to engage, be approachable and provide required constructive support?- Do you have thorough and up to date knowledge of safeguarding and trauma informed principles?- Do you have knowledge of the benefits system, for example, how to claim, the forms to complete and the housing register process?- Are you confident using Microsoft Office?- Do you have demonstrable experience of managing a complex caseload along with robust report writing skills such as risk assessments and support plans?

Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a part time, **Specialist Support Worker **on a Permanent basis at one of our schemes in **Basildon, Essex**.
**A bit about the role**:
As a** Specialist Support Worker**, you will support and enable vulnerable people to sustain a tenancy living within the community through providing practical and emotional support to encourage tenants to take an active part in the community.
**Some of the key results for the role include: **
- Carrying out needs and risk assessments, complete support plans, provide support, and carry out reviews, the requirements of stakeholders and funders of the scheme. Supporting our vulnerable customers to maximise their income, to access benefits, and to budget to cover domestic bills and living expenses. Supporting our vulnerable customers to sustain their housing and identify and move onto housing which meets their needs. Accurately input all client data into an electronic monitoring system and ensure records are maintained to evidence key performance targets and comply with commissioner requirements.
- This role will require an Enhanced DBS check._
